EB-5 Investment Immigration Program
There are 2 types of long-term visas for staying in the USA:
-
Nonimmigrant visa allows you to stay in the United States for a period of several days to several months. These visa categories do not lead to obtaining citizenship and a residence permit (known as the Green Card), and most often have a limited validity period for staying in the country. Such visas include F1 student visas, B1/B2 tourist visas, L1 visa for executives or managers , H1B work visas, E2 investment visas, and several others.
-
Immigration visa allows you to move to the United States on a permanent basis and give you the opportunity to be granted US citizenship. Immigration visas provide an opportunity to obtain a residence permit ("Green Card"). You can get a Green Card through family ties, lottery, job, extraordinary abilities, or investments.
The EB5 program, therefore, is one of the options to obtain a Green Card that allows you to move to the United States with your whole family.
